Early Intervention: Tips for a Smooth EI-Hub Transition

By September 27, 2024No Comments

As the launch date for EI-Hub approaches on October 15, 2024, Early Intervention professionals in New York must stay informed and prepared for a smooth transition. ProviderSoft’s Early Intervention Software will streamline the billing process, enhancing efficiency and ensuring compliance with the latest standards as you transition to EI-Hub. ProviderSoft is proud to support you during this transition with our Early Intervention Software, designed to elevate your practice and simplify your processes.

Here are a few things to keep in mind to prepare effectively:

  1. Important Dates to Remember
  • Final Data Entry Deadline: Ensure all data and billing information are entered in NYEIS by October 4, 2024.
  • Go-Live Date: The EI-Hub will officially launch on October 15, 2024.
  1. Confirm Access
  • Make sure all users have access to EI-Hub. Inform relevant staff about the transition details and new procedures to ensure everyone is aligned.
  1. Billing and CPT Code Compliance
  • All claims submitted to EI Hub by an agency must use the same method, either electronically or manually.  If submitting electronically, ensure your Early Intervention Software will support all claim types including the complexities of Evaluations and Service Coordination.
  • EI-Hub will enforce strict rules around the use of CPT codes, so it’s crucial to use the correct ones. To help ensure compliance with these requirements, please review the following resources:
  1. Referring Provider Verification
  • Claims must include a valid referring provider’s name and NPI that matches the information on file with the EI-Hub. Verify that all referring providers’ details are complete and accurate in NYEIS to avoid claim rejections caused by missing or incorrect information.
  1. Valid Child Information
  • Claims must contain the child’s correct name and date of birth. Ensure that all client information is accurate and complete to prevent issues during the transition. EI-Hub will check the first four characters of the first and last name, along with the date of birth, making accuracy essential.
  1. New Voids Functionality
  • ProviderSoft has developed an innovative void functionality that allows the electronic submission of void claims before submitting corrected claims. This powerful feature, part of our advanced Early Intervention Software, streamlines your workflow and empowers you to manage claims with unprecedented efficiency. You can navigate the complexities of billing with ease and confidence, ensuring that your operations remain seamless during this transition.
  1. Stay Informed

As the EI-Hub launch approaches, focusing on these key areas is crucial. This transition marks a significant advancement in billing and data management for early intervention services, leading to improved efficiency and compliance. Our Early Intervention Software is specifically designed to help providers navigate this change effortlessly, benefiting all stakeholders involved.
