ProviderSoft Welcomes John Law as Chief Executive Officer

By October 7, 2026No Comments

ProviderSoft is pleased to welcome John Law as its new Chief Executive Officer. John joined the company in late August and has spent his first month getting to know the team, the product and the work of the agencies ProviderSoft serves. For clients, the team they work with every day stays the same.

Two Decades of Product Leadership

John brings more than two decades of experience leading software products. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Products and Strategic Partnerships at S&P Global, and before that as Senior Vice President of Products at EBSCO. At ProQuest, he led the product platform and built a new product business from launch into a major line of business. He began his career as an engineer at Bell Labs. That combination of product and engineering experience is what he brings to ProviderSoft as the company continues to improve and modernize the software its clients rely on every day.

A Personal Connection to the Work

John has spent his career helping teams understand what matters most to their customers and users, and using those insights to create products that deliver meaningful value for children and families. His spouse spent more than 20 years in early childhood development, and he has recently been advising a healthcare technology company that serves children and families.

What Stays the Same for Clients

Clients will continue working with the same Account Representative, Help Desk and Support Team, and Ali Harkness continues to lead client relationships as Chief Customer Officer. Clients with questions about the transition should start with their Account Representative.

Where things do change, it will be to make ProviderSoft work better for the agencies it serves, and John is starting by listening. He looks forward to getting to know clients and hearing where ProviderSoft can do more for them.

ProviderSoft’s mission also remains unchanged: to empower Early Childhood Development providers with the software, service, and expertise they need to achieve operational excellence, enabling them to deliver the highest quality care to children and families within their communities.

Tony Quarella Moves Into a Broader Role

Tony Quarella, who previously led ProviderSoft, is stepping away from the day-to-day but will remain involved. He is moving into a broader role within Jonas, ProviderSoft’s parent company, where ProviderSoft is one of several software companies he oversees. Tony will continue working closely with John and the team, particularly on product and technology direction.

“It’s been a privilege to lead ProviderSoft, and I’m glad to be handing that role to John,” said Tony. “Thank you for your partnership.”
